Catholics are Americans Too !

In his column today at the Chicago Sun-Times , suntimes.com , Fr. Andrew Greeley delivers a resounding Right Cross to the Sanctimonious Posturing of political candidates at the Iowa Caucuses. The tactics of preclusion there are alienating huge swaths of potential voters that aren't seen as hewing to the line of Nationalist Orthodoxy. Greeley's Protestations are among the best I've heard yet in the condemnation of attitudes and habits that are ignorant of the Constitution of The United States of America. He takes them to task handily for their outrageous presumptions on the history of Christianity and willingness to exploit long standing bigotries. I am prepared to finish them off at the polls.

Good to hear Father Andrew

Good to hear Father Andrew Greeley with his focus on the Caucuses.

Staged managed events at the Caucuses create an illusion of participation.

The world knows that only half of the American Population actually votes in the final Presidential Election.

The Social Gospel is about all social issues and not the most polarizing ones favoured by the Christian Right. The biggest jokes are an absence of attention to Weapons of Mass Destruction, Global Warming, the Promotion of Infotainment as News as well as the flight of the Poor at home and abroad.
