The Legacy of Chemical War: Vietnam and Agent Orange
Diane Fox, coordinator of the Vietnam Agent Orange Education Project and Resource Center, says that a war we fought in Vietnam more than 30 years ago is still having repercussions in the lives — and in the land — of the Vietnamese people today. Some estimates place the number of Vietnamese birth defects since the war in areas sprayed heavily by the deadly defoliant in the hundreds of thousands. Clearly millions of Vietnamese lives have been affected by the dioxin causing illnesses. For more information, visit warlegacies.org.
